Read previewMembers of a disabled basketball team were left with "chaos" and hours of delay after Southwest Airlines dismantled dozens of their wheelchairs on a recent flight. Wheelchair basketball teams typically travel with two chairs each —their sporting ones and their everyday ones, Shields told BI. It "was just complete chaos," despite the attempts of the pilot and a stewardess to help out, Shields told BI. In a statement to BI, Southwest Airlines said that there had been a delay in its staff reassembling the chairs, and that it had reviewed the situation and was addressing it. AdvertisementWalker also said that airlines need to stop treating the loss of wheelchairs as equivalent to a mere luggage issue.

“America's Team.”The team that much of America loved, and perhaps just as much loved to hate. But the plunge in the deal pipeline prompted soul-searching and job-hopping among investment bankers accustomed to a feast. Barclays, which has struggled to retain bankers following a shake-up in the management of its investment banking division, has lost at least nine top technology bankers in recent weeks. Traditionally, smaller firms have been reluctant to offer investment bankers guaranteed compensation, in order to have more of their pay tied to performance. Alan Johnson, managing director of compensation consultancy Johnson Associates, said that first-year guarantees were common practice in the hiring of investment bankers, but second-year guarantee used to be rare. "You get paid a higher percentage of revenue than in a big bank, but you have to generate the revenue with perhaps less help," Johnson said.

The Grizzlies suspended Morant from all team activities on Sunday, roughly two months after a similar incident that saw him suspended for eight games when he appeared in a live-streaming video on Instagram holding a firearm at a nightclub. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do," Morant said in a statement published by ESPN and USA Today. "My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. NBA commissioner Adam Silver said they were investigating the incident, admitting he was "shocked" when he saw the video after Morant had seemed to take the first suspension "incredibly seriously" when they spoke. He could have injured, maimed, killed himself or someone else with an act like that," Silver said at NBA's draft lottery.
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway faces inflation, higher interest rates, and tighter credit. Its subsidiaries are also seeing signs that their customers, suppliers, and partners are being pinched by higher prices, steeper interest rates on their debts, and perhaps even reduced access to credit. "You just kind of have to take it," Egan said about some of the higher costs. Moreover, longstanding suppliers who refrained from passing on their higher costs to See's in 2021 have been forced to charge it more. The fast-food chain's franchisees face much higher costs for equipment, building materials, and construction work than they did a few years ago.

I became an Airbnb host after I bought a tiny house and parked it on the side of my home in Oakland, California. Before the tiny house, I had converted my garage into a studio. I had a long-term tenant there already, and getting the tiny house was my attempt to make a little extra income on Airbnb. I think the popularity of tiny homes and the minimalist movement, along with my low pricing, helped attract Airbnb viewers. Since I had extra space, I decided to buy another tiny house for $35,000I call it The Tiny Heauxtel, and I bought it in 2021.
